I am a passionate and motivated Psychosexual Therapist with many years’ experience working for the NHS and in the Private Sector. I began my psychosexual journey in 2000 after completing a degree in Psychology and mainstream therapy qualifications. I have worked part-time for the NHS in addition to running my own private practice.
I am an Accredited Psychosexual Therapist, a BACP Accredited Therapist, a Cognitive Behavioural Therapist and EMDR Therapist. I am Psychosexual Service Lead for Bolton providing psychosexual intervention to individuals and couples, with sex and/or relationship difficulties.
I specialise in assessing young people who present with Harmful Sexualised Behaviour and providing intervention thereafter. (AIMS3 Trained)
I am an Independent Director for 1Point Bolton which is commissioned by Bolton NHS to accept referrals from patients registered with a local GP or with Greater Manchester Mental Health NHS Trust.
I am also a university lecturer, teaching Psychosexual Therapy and to Post-Graduate Psychosexual students and take great pleasure in helping others to what I do.
I also have several years of experience providing psychosexual intervention with young people at Brook Young People’s Service.
I am a wife and a mum of 2 grown up children, who I am immensely proud of. After raising my children, without a doubt, my career is my calling in life and is the passion in my soul. I am truly grateful to have such a rewarding career and to have been given the skills to facilitate therapeutic growth with my clients.
