Overview
The Level 5 course is open to medical professional as well as the general public assuming they possess a degree level qualification or equivalent experience. Once completed trainees will be eligible to progress onto the 2 year Diploma in Psychosexual and Relationship Therapies.
The training will be delivered over one weekend per month over 20 months, 10 months per year for 2 years.

The full training cost is £7,000. A non-refundable deposit of £500 is payable on acceptance of a place. The balance is then paid over 24 months at £270.83 per month.
This pathway is for applicants who are not yet qualified as a counsellor or psychotherapists but have a relevant degree and past work experience to commence a qualification pathway in counselling and psychotherapy.
This course covers general therapy skills theory and practice with a psychosexual lens, however the primary focus will be developing psychotherapeutic skills. Once successfully completed it is possible to move onto our two-year, part-time specialist Diploma In Psychosexual Therapies.
Upon completion trainees can register with BACP as a Counsellor or with COSRT as an associate member.
As the course meets the scoped requirements for counselling, upon completion of this course trainees will be eligible to register with BACP once they have passed the Certificate of Proficiency (CoP), they will then be able to work as counsellors.
